:( I'm in such a hurry to pay off my one card, but I've got a car repair coming up in the next month, the vet bill was $150, and Christmas and the DW con in Chicago are all looming. And next year, the $3800 a/c will need to be replaced, though if I get the card and student loans paid off, then that money will cover that payment easily enough. Not quite getting ahead in savings, but at least not taking more from what I make.
My plan is by my 52nd birthday, the cc, loans and house will be paid off, and I keep that in mind whenever I want to splurge on something really frivolous. (cons are not that; never that; what other chance will I get to see the 5, 6 and 7th Doctors, plus Jaime and Ace?)
My front door with screen door cost me $1200 - $600 for the door and the rest in labor, so be warned. UGH. Good luck.
